Toronto, ON – As Canada’s leading educational publisher, Nelson is offering educators, students and parents, access to trusted resources to support teaching and learning at home. Canadian students have been affected with school and campus closures due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Nelson is responding by offering open access to educational resources to help support continued learning.
“As a partner in education for over 106 years, we feel a personal responsibility to support lifelong learning during these unprecedented times.” Says Steve Brown, Nelson Chief Executive Officer. “We hope that by offering open access to trusted resources, students and parents can feel confident in preventing learning loss.”
Nelson has developed a COVID-19 resource centre to provide open access to learning resources, as well as support for educators to help them navigate the transition to digital instruction. Nelson also recognizes that parents are facing the added challenge of keeping their children engaged throughout the day. A series of free webinars have been developed to provide parents with tips and strategies for at home learning support.
Now more than ever, students and educators need the tools required to support teaching and learning at home. Nelson is committed to staying connected with the education community and is determined to continue to provide ongoing support during these times of uncertainty. The Nelson COVID-19 resource centre is a live digital resource that will be continuously updated to adapt to the changing needs of students and educators.
